Side effects may include changes in your period flow (heavier or lighter bleeding) or timing (your next period may be early or late), nausea, lower stomach pain, tiredness, headache, dizziness, and breast tenderness. Restart™, or any morning-after pill with the hormone levonorgestrel, will not prevent pregnancy if you’re already ovulating. Because Restart™ prevents pregnancy by delaying ovulation, this means that if you take it while you’re ovulating it may not work as intended. It’s important to note that most don’t know exactly when they ovulate, so it’s best to take the morning-after pill as soon as possible regardless of if you think you’re about to ovulate.

You’ll know Restart has effectively prevented pregnancy when you get your next period, which should come at the normal time in your cycle or within a week. If your period is delayed beyond one week, it’s possible you may be pregnant. You should take a pregnancy test and follow up with your primary care provider for next steps. Six days before your missed period. Stix pregnancy tests are over 99% accurate and made with early detection technology, meaning they can detect pregnancy as early as six days before your missed period. However, for the most accurate results, take it on the first day of your missed period. If you have irregular periods or don't know when your period will be, test 19 days after sex or insemination for best results. Finally, we recommend testing first thing in the morning, before drinking any water, as that is when your urine is most concentrated.

Stix can detect hCG at 20mIU/hCG, or about 7 to 10 days after ovulation. For the best results though, we do recommend taking the test at least 6 days before your missed period or 19 days after you had sex.

Your levels of hCG increase every single day so the longer you wait to test, the stronger the results will be. If you were recently pregnant or are taking a drug that contains hCG (such as Pregnyl, Profasi, Pergonal, APL) you can get a false positive result. Alcohol, birth control pills, antibiotics, and painkillers will not affect results.

In general, read the instructions of any drugs you are taking. Some medical conditions, like ovarian cysts, can cause false positives.

When you get pregnant, your body starts to produce a hormone called human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG). Stix pregnancy tests detect hCG in your urine, determining if you are pregnant or not pregnant. Two lines on the pregnancy test means your urine tested positive for hCG and you are pregnant. Just one line means your urine tested negative for hCG and you are not pregnant.

1. Remove the purple cap from the test and pee on the absorbent strip of paper for 10 seconds. 
2. Put the purple cap back on the test.
3. Lay the test on a flat, non-absorbent surface with the result window facing up.
4. Wait for five minutes.
5. Breathe, then read the results.
6. One line means you are not pregnant, two lines means you are pregnant.
7. Do not read the results after 10 minutes.

Our condoms are electronically-tested for safety. When used correctly every time you have oral, anal, or vaginal sex, condoms are over 98% effective. But, because humans make mistakes, condoms are usually about 87% effective.

There’s no one “right” way to have sex, but there is a right way to use a condom. Follow these steps to make sure you’re having safe sex.

1. Ask for, and receive, consent!

2. Check the expiration date of the condom. 

3. Check the wrapper to see if there’s any holes or disturbances to the wrapper. If so, don’t use it. 

4. Remove the condom from the package and squeeze air from the tip of the condom.

5. Roll the condom all the way down to the base of the erect penis. 

6. Have sex! (The best step).

7. After ejaculation, hold the rim of the condom and withdraw. 

8. Wrap the condom in a tissue, throw it out, and wash your hands.

1. Carefully remove the pH test strip and the cotton swab from their pouches. Set them on a flat surface in a well lit area, like your bathroom counter. Be sure not to touch the test area of the pH test strip or the cotton part of the cotton swab. 

2. Stand up and place one foot on the toilet seat or another firm surface. 

3. With one hand, hold the cotton swab at the base and with the other hand, gently spread apart your labia (the folds of skin that cover the opening of the vagina). 

4. Gently insert the cotton side of the swab about halfway into your vagina. Tilt the cotton swab so the tip touches the wall of your vagina. Hold it there for 5 seconds. 

5. Carefully remove the cotton swab from your vagina. Be sure not to touch the tip of the cotton swab against anything so that the sample stays clean. 

6. Gently wipe the cotton swab across the test area on the pH test strip. The color on the test area should start changing right away. 

7. Match the color on the test area to the closest color block on the pH test pouch's color chart. For most accurate results, immediately compare the test area to the color chart. 

8. Record your results (we recommend taking a picture on your phone) and compare them to the table on the pouch for next steps.

A healthy vagina naturally has a balance of yeast and bacteria. A yeast infection, also referred to as "monilia" or "candidiasis," occurs when that balance is disrupted and there is an overgrowth of yeast (candida). Yeast infection symptoms can include redness, itching and irritation in the vagina and vulva, pain or a burning sensation during sex and urination, and a thick discharge with a consistency similar to cottage cheese.
